The concept of apostolo in Greek is a good comparative concept. This is our biblical word, apostle, which is somebody who is sent out by an authority to accomplish a mission. The best example of this concept is Jesus Christ, who was sent to accomplish the task of the salvation of mankind.
2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.
The word in Greek here is elder. So, the quality of being older and wiser is included in the concept of being an ambassador.
